The In-Flight Essentials

A solo five hour stop over in New York allows you to consider just how important travel essentials are. So while on my way to Austin, Texas last week I evaluated the contents of my under 100ml bag and the rest that I crammed into my hand luggage.
Make up probably isn't an essential but it's an easy pick me up once you get to your destination. I go barefaced for the flight, then apply the basics in Garnier's amazing BB Cream, topping up with Benefit's Fake Up Concealer*, finish with MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural & add something of interest with my mascara, the YSL Shocking
Onto what could masquerade as beauty essentials, an easy moisturiser. Another pick me up for through the flight, I chose a deluxe sample from the Benefit skin care line, refreshing and a must for a long haul. My absolute favourite lip balm from Nuxe, the Reve de Miel - I've spotted this brand at Marks & Spencers now if you want an easy track down! And for a constant refresh no matter what element of your travel you're on, the Balance Me Hydrating Facial Mist*, relaxing scent and a burst of cool whether you've just woken up or you're fighting jet lag.
Reading material - courtesy of the first US newsagents I spotted - and the option of a musical interlude is obviously a must. And, in a bid to avoid the dreaded plane meal, I packed the entire contents of my Graze box to at least try to sustain me through my flight. Such a good idea and something I get excited about each week, you can get a free box with P5964LV.

My next long haul isn't in the near future, but at least I know I have the content of my bag down to a fine art for the next boarding announcement.
