My recent highlights, all in one place. Plus, some things you need to check out. From beauty to beer, I've been snapping away to get everything rounded up into a neat little blog post.
Leeds Indie Food has kicked off and I'm not going to squeeze every event on here, but some are coming to you in round-ups, because they're brilliant. We did the Northern Monk x Northern Bloc - i.e. beer and ice cream, beer floats last week. So much tastier than I anticipated - they're sticking around for a while, perfect way to get a taster of Northern Bloc ice cream and work your way through a few of the taps at Northern Monk if you're a beer lover.
I slipped in a visit to Costa pre-work recently to get an early morning peek at their new Summer menu and Seriously Summer pop-up. Three new SuperDay Smoothies, red, yellow and green. My fave was the red but all would be ideal if and when summer sticks around. Plus a couple of new wraps - including an unreal sweet potato and falafel wrap that you need to try. And the Leeds Briggate store is decked out for summer (as are stores in Glasgow and London), just one of three specially picked. Very special.
Quick shout out to a couple of beauty bits that have made me go OOOOHHH lately. Primarily, the L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette. This was out of stock in Light/Medium for so long. I had at least three Boots staff tell me it flies off the shelves as soon as it comes in, I managed to bag one. I'm thinking a mini-tutorial/review on this is upcoming. All to get that beauty back on my blog.
Secondly, the Thera Pearl eye mask* has been my saviour recently. You can chill it or warm it, either way it's so relaxing. I prefer the cool option. Whack it on your eyes for 15 mins after a long day at the computer and you're golden. It's also amazing when you have a headache, it's permanently in my fridge now.
And finally, I popped back to Huddersfield to go ambling for some beautiful bluebells. 'Tis the season after all. I wandered through the woods near my parent's house and had some childhood nostalgia whilst I crunched through the leaves to get the perfect shot. How beautiful?
I want to start putting together more of these round-ups, for those little bits I'm so excited to talk about but would be a super short blog post on their own. Watch this space...
