Brits in the sun, is there anything better? I think the British level of excitement over good weather is unparalleled and where else to celebrate the sunshine? A good drinks terrace, of course. Namely, the Pintura Terrace just outside Trinity in Leeds.
Expect basque tapas to complement your drink in hand, mini bites to nibble your way through as you work on the new gin & tonic plus menu. The new tipples are Pinturas version of a G&T-cum-cocktail, with summery fresh flavours to keep everything fresh.
There are three different flavours to choose from; orange, rhubarb and olives being the key flavour notes between the different drinks. My recommendation is The Yorkshire Copa - rhubarb, ginger and finished with a lemon tonic.
If you're lucky enough to check good weather off on your visit, take a seat on the terrace - there are parasols there ready for any quick downpours - and take advantage of the outdoor bar.
Pintura specialise in gin, with literally hundreds for you to pick from. The flavours are muddled together with complimenting garnishes and tonics to ensure your drink in hand is perfectly matched, flavour notes to taste buds.
There is of course more to Pintura than their patio outdoors, three floors of tapas, bars and dreamy interiors. You can easily while away the hours here, starting with a few bits and working through the picky menu until your hunger pangs are satisfied - it won't take much, but you'll want to try a whole not more.
Given the ease of working through the menu, utilise the expertise from the waiters or opt for a sharer board to make sure you're checking off a few of the great bits.
And if the weather comes through? Get excited and I'll see you on the terrace.
