Heal Spa Harrogate

Ready to feel rejuvinated? There's a new spot open in Harrogate to fulfil all your beauty and relaxation needs. Step off the cobbles of Montpellier Gardens and head up the staircase to a hidden haven in the town.

You'll be greeted with interiors you'll be desperate to get a pic of. Stepping into Heal is like stepping into the best type of botanical hideaway, ferns pop from every crevice and the wood staircase licks up the walls and into the beauty stations. It might tick all the Instagram boxes, but is it actually any good?

Heal will essentially take care of any of your beauty needs - from the main salon floor for hair dressing and getting your nails did, to a sweep up the stairs for cosy massages and expert podiatry - you'll be set.

Given that they've just opened their doors and expanded their beauty menu after a brisk move from a different location, I jumped at the opportunity to relax before the weekend. A seriously scenic train ride out of Leeds and Harrogate welcomed me with its beautifully manicured gardens and rural charm - perfectly prepared for even more relaxation.

I had a taster session of their Tranquility Pro Sleep Massage, sold as the perfect experience for busy travellers or those that struggle with shut eye - neither are me, but I was more than welcome to be the guinea pig 😉

The massage comes from one of the brand partners of the salon, Comfort Zone. Their products line the walls downstairs, with even more attention to detail in the presentation.

This is the same brand that you can get an in depth skin review from with the snazzy tech that bursts the earthy vibes of the venue. A deep magnifying lens captures shots of your skin to identify levels of moisture and sensitivity, amongst a host of other detail. I'm damn proud to tell you that my skin moisture levels were near the 90% mark (read: top of the class), drink your water, kids. This, alongside some sensitivity to my facial skin, a finding that was followed by some tailored skincare advice.

If you're a Harrogate local, I highly recommend nipping in to check out the newest R&R spot, particularly because their prices are so reasonable. Have an afternoon of pampering to prepare for... something. No excuse needed, really.
